Taking a “shower romantique”

After an especially long day (physically, economically, transcendentally), have the kind of shower that pharaohs would have swooned over. Light as many candles as you can find. Spritz the air with perfume (Mall samples? Essential oils?) Drag in a speaker and listen to your comfort playlist of choice: raunchy audiobook, folksy twanging, ambient mantras. Put a plant on a shelf so you’ll have something to talk to. Sit your ass down and luxuriate.
